How to find a Minecraft UUID
A UUID is the stable player identifier behind a Java username. Usernames can change; the UUID does not.

Look up a username
This guide is meant to route you into a working MCProfiles surface, not replace it. Use the linked tool to search, browse, compare, or configure the workflow described below.
When a UUID matters
If you are integrating with plugins, moderation tools, alerts, or server-side automation, you should key on UUID instead of current username.
MCProfiles profile responses surface the UUID alongside the current username so you can use the stable identifier immediately.
Dashed and undashed forms
Minecraft tooling often accepts both dashed and undashed UUIDs. MCProfiles normalizes either form so URLs and API responses stay consistent.
